Global Integrator Rapidly Scales Its Hosted Exchange Infrastructure with Hosting Controller

Business Challenge

To provide automation for its hosted Microsoft Exchange services, the Moroccan company was using Ensim Automation Suite from CloudBlue (part of Ingram Micro).

In mid 2019, CloudBlue announced that they were declaring Ensim Automation Suite EOL with no newer versions to be released and existing customers' support to expire in the next few months.

It came as an existential challenge for the Moroccan company as it had taken many years to on-board themselves to the Ensim Automation Suite and were already paying a large cost towards its regular support.

Solution

Moroccan company knew Ensim while it was part of Ingram Micro's product portfolio and that it was one of the products validated by Microsoft to enable service providers to offer Hosted Exchange. The other validated products included Odin and Hosting Controller.

Since Odin was also owned by Ingram Micro now and was being declared End-of-Life along with Ensim, moving over to Hosting Controller came as a natural choice for their business continuity.

Hosting Controller technical team was quick at establishing migration requirements and Hosting Controller had sophisticated migration tools ready to facilitate with cut-off migration from Ensim over to Hosting Controller.
