It is one of the flexibility of the cluster that it may require addition of a new server any time. And the panel giving you the full freedom lets you install a new server any time when require with just few simple steps.
Note:
You can only Add a Server after the Global Settings are made for the cluster.
There should be at least one server role selected for every server in the cluster.
For adding a new server in your cluster, you do not physically need to place the servers in a cluster. You can add a server any where in the world having any physical location which implies its the logical cluster representation which is being referred.
The kind of information you have to provide for adding server, totally depends of the role you have selected for it.
The family of the server is auto detected.
To add a new server in your cluster, the server should be part of the registered servers of your cluster.
It is highly recommended that those values which are pre-populated should not be changed especially in case of Linux Server.
To add a new server in the cluster:
Click My Server menu under the General section
Click Add Server submenu.
When you select a server, its Family and IP address It is a numeric unique identifier of your computer in the network. No other computer can have this number as it’s IP. Any computer which is hosting a website has an IP address to connect to the World Wide Web. is auto detected.
Select the Server Role Every server can have one or more role(s) in the cluster. This role(s) needs to be set every time a new server is added to the cluster. Following are the four available roles for a server, in the cluster. Web Server, DNS Server, Mail Server & Database Server. for the new server.
And set its Role Capacity This is capacity of the resource on the server for a respective role. and Purposing Each server added in the cluster can be used for either only resellers or for both resellers and shared hosting; this needs to be made clear while adding a new server. Everyone: It refers to the shared hosting. Selecting this option makes server available for shared hosting only. Reseller Only : It refers to the dedicated hosting. Selecting this option makes server available for reseller hosting only. ,and click the Next button.
