ADDING A MAIL SERVER

Adding a mail server involves providing General Settings depending on the Mail Sever selected in the Global Settings:

 

IMail

Server Port:

This is the port on which IMail web mail is running. Default port is 8383. When a website is setup, customer will be given URL for web mail on this port. For example, http://domain.com:8383.

User Datbase Type:

Select External Database if you wish to store/authenticate IMail users from an external resource.

External Database Implementation DLL:

The interface between IMail Server and the external database is accomplished via a dynamic link

library (DLL file). Specify the full path to ODBCUSER.DLL. For example, C:\IMail\ODBCUSER.DLL.

ODBC System DSN:

Specify the ODBC system DSN for the database where the user information is stored.

DSN User Name:

Specify the user for the database.

DSN Password:

Specify the password for the database. This will be used to access the DNS and will prevent any unauthorized access.

Enable List Administration:

Enable this to make default domain administrator account, a list administrator of the domain.

'Root' Forward Address:

Specify the email address to be used as forward address for root user created for each domain. Set it as

WebAdministrator to use the default domain administrator account as forward address.

 

Mail Max

MailMax Virtual Path:

This the HTTP path to MailMax virtual setup directory. For example, http://ComputerIP/MailMax, where ComputerIP is the

IP address It is a numeric unique identifier of your computer in the network. No other computer can have this number as it’s IP. Any computer which is hosting a website has an IP address to connect to the World Wide Web. of your server.

MailMax Install Path:

Provide here the installation folder path. For example, C:\Program Files\MailMax.

MailMax DSN:

Specify the MailMax DSN for the database where the user information is stored.

 

MerakMail

Server Port:

This the port on which Merak web mail is running. Default port is 32000. When a website is setup, customer will be given URL for web mail on this port. For example http://domain.com:32000.

 

Mail Enable

No further configuration is required.

 

Mail Merak

Server Port:

This the port on which Merak web mail is running. Default port is 32000. When a website is setup, customer will be given URL for web mail on this port. For example http://domain.com:32000.

 

Smarter Mail

Server IP Address:

Provide here the IP of machine where SmarterMail is installed.

Server Port:

This the port on which SmarterMail was configured at the time of installation. Default port is 9998.

Admin User:

Provide here the login name for SmarterMail administrator. The default login is 'admin' and password is 'admin'.

Admin Password:

Provide here the password of SmarterMail administrator.
