Listing your FTP sites |
There are two types of FTP sites created by Hosting Controller:
IP-based - IP-based sites have a dedicated IP (Internet Protocol) address and can be directly accessed using the its IP address. An IP address is a series of numbers (e.g. 66.94.125.78) that uniquely identify your FTP site.
Name-based - Name-based sites share an IP (Internet Protocol) address with other sites.
Each type of FTP site is mutually exclusive of the other depending on the type of web site you have. IP-based web sites automatically have an IP-based FTP site, while name-based web sites automatically have a name-based FTP site (virtual FTP folder).
Note: This option is only available if your hosting administrator is using MS FTP. If you don not see this option in your Hosting Controller menu, you will have access to Serv-U FTP - please refer to Serv-U FTP for more information.
To list your FTP sites:
Click on the List FTP Sites or Named Based FTP link in the Domain Manager menu.
