Editing a pre-existing file through File Manager allows you to make immediate changes HTML files on your web site, without having to upload a new version of the file. This is useful for small changes, but would be inefficient for large amounts of coding.

Note: You can only edit HTML and Text files using File Manager.

To edit a file:

1. Navigate to the folder in which the file you want to edit resides.

2. Click on the button.

3. Edit the text in the display area as required. Occasionally you may want click on the button to save your work.

4. Preview the page in your web browser by clicking on the button.

5. Click on the button when you are finished.
