HOW TO CREATE VIRTUAL DIRECTORY FOR A WEBSITE

If your Web site contains files that are located on a different drive other than the home directory, or on any other server, then you must create virtual directories to include those files in your Web site.

To create virtual directory:

• Click the Domains menu under the General section

• In the table view listing select the required website and click the Properties button

• You will be displayed with the website properties page,

• Under the Domains section, click the Virtual Directory link

• You will be directed to the virtual directory page.

• Click the Add Virtual Directoy button

• Provide the following information and click the Save Settings button.

Path:

This is the pre-populated path for the virtual directory.

PROPERTIES:

Click this button to set the properties of the selected virtual directory.

PERMISSIONS:

Press this button to set the access permission details for your selected websites virtual websites.

VIRTUAL dIRECTORIES:

Each web-site on the server has a set of organized folders/directories. Among these directories each can contain another within it self. Press this button to view the virtual directories for the selected virtual directory.
